Prospecting finds businesses near a ZIP or postal code that are good fits for vending, grouped by tier. Prospecting is included on the Growth, Pro and Max plans.

1. Go to Prospecting.

2. Enter a ZIP / postal code.

3. Set the Radius between 1 and 30. It uses your company's miles or kilometers setting.

4. Under Location types, tick the kinds of businesses you want. You can choose up to 10. The counter shows "[N] of 10 selected."

5. Leave Verified locations first on to list matches from VendScout's verified directory at the top.

6. Select Search. The button shows how many searches your company has left this month.

• Each result shows the name, tier, address, type, employee count (when known) and distance.

• Verified means the business matches VendScout's shared directory of known good sites. It doesn't mean someone has inspected it.

• In CRM means you already have it as a prospect or location. You can't select it again.

• Filter the results with the Tier checkboxes, Verified only and Hide in CRM.

• On a phone, switch between List and Map.

• Select More [type] to load more results for a type, up to two extra pages. Extra pages don't use another search.

• Tick the results you want and select Save as prospects. See [Save search results as prospects].

• Or select Add to list to save them and add them to a list in one step.
