Every prospect has a stage (where the deal is) and a tier (how good a fit the location is).

Stage

Meaning

New

Saved or imported, not contacted yet

Contacted

First outreach done (set automatically by your first logged call or visit)

Site survey

Assessing the site (set automatically when you record a site survey)

Proposal

Proposal presented

Contract sent

Agreement sent for signature

Install scheduled

Install being planned (offers to create an install task)

Live

Won and operating; convert it to a customer from the Pipeline board

Lost

Didn't go ahead; a reason is required

Stages are labels you move yourself. Moving to Contract sent doesn't send a contract, and Install scheduled doesn't book an appointment.

Tier

Meaning

Tier 1

Best-fit location types, such as warehouses, plants, hospitals and call centers

Tier 2

Good fits, such as offices, dealerships, hotels and gyms

Tier 3

Possible fits, such as apartments, community centers and venues

The tier comes from the location type. If the type is unknown, the prospect is Tier 3. You can change the tier on the prospect's page.
