Convert a prospect to a customer

When a deal is won, convert the prospect into an account with its first location. Its contacts, history and open tasks move across with it.

1. Do one of these:

– On Pipeline (Board view), drag the prospect's card to Live.

– On the prospect's page, set Stage to Live.

2. The Convert [name] to an account form opens.

3. In Convert [name] to an account:

– Account name is filled in with the prospect's name. Edit it if needed, for example to the legal business name.

– First location name defaults to "Main location". Rename it to something useful, such as "Building A breakroom".

– Primary contact (optional): pick the main person at the site.

4. Select Convert. The new account opens, and the prospect moves to Live. If conversion fails, the prospect stays at its current stage.

• Owners and Admins can convert any prospect.

• Users can convert prospects that are unassigned or assigned to them.

Conversion adds a customer. If you see "Customer limit reached for your plan," upgrade your plan. See [Plans, limits and usage].
