1. Select Log call or Log visit.

2. Choose an Outcome: No answer, Left a message, Spoke with gatekeeper, Spoke with decision maker, Not interested, Appointment set, Follow up or Other.

3. Under Spoke with, pick a contact, or choose Someone not in contacts and enter their name and role.

4. If you spoke with a contact, you can turn on Make [name] the primary contact.

5. Under Has vending, choose Unknown, Yes or No. If Yes, you can record the Competitor and Satisfaction (1 to 5).

6. Add Notes.

7. For a visit, you can also:

– Select Check in to record your GPS location.

– Select Add photos to attach pictures of the site.

– Add a site survey. See [Record a site survey].

8. Choose a Next step:

– No next step.

– Follow-up task: a title, a due date (due at 5 PM) and an assignee.

– Book appointment: a title, type, date, start time and length.

9. Select Save call or Save visit.

• First call or visit on a New prospect: the prospect moves to Contacted, even if no one answered.

• List member: the work status updates. See [Work a list in the field].

• Has vending set to No: clears the competitor and satisfaction fields.

• Check-in warning: if you check in more than about 500 meters from the site, VendScout warns you. This helps catch logging against the wrong record.

• Logging doesn't place calls. Use the Call button for that.
